Student and Consumer Advocates Testify in Support of the Gainful Employment and Borrower Defense Rules

During the week of July 10, 2017, the Department of Education held two public hearings to prepare for negotiated rulemaking on the borrower defense and gainful employment rules. Speakers representing students, veterans, borrowers, consumers, civil rights, and more, expressed opposition to the rolling back of the rules.
