Protect Students and Taxpayers is a coalition of organizations working to address predatory practices in higher education and ensure that taxpayer dollars are not wasted on college programs that do not deliver. The coalition is engaged in research, advocacy and litigation and works on behalf of students, veterans, faculty and staff, civil rights advocates, researchers, and others concerned about unaffordable student debts and predatory practices.
Today, on behalf of 24 organizations, the coalition sent a letter to Congress urging them to prioritize gainful employment, borrower defense to repayment, student veterans, and a ban on student recruitment incentive compensation. Learn more about our priorities and read the full letter below.
