On July 8, Protect Students and Taxpayers submitted a letter to the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions detailing our shared concerns for protecting students and the integrity of the Pell Grant program should the JOBS Act move forward in this Congress. In the letter, we call for:

  1. Maintaining the exclusion of predatory for-profit colleges.
  2. Ensuring that these programs do not leave students in poverty-level jobs.
  3. Ensuring career-focused short programs are offered in a classroom environment
where students can get hands-on training.
