Coalition Letter on the Gainful Employment Disclosure Template

53 organizations representing and advocating for students, families, taxpayers, veterans and service members submitted a joint letter to the Department of Education expressing opposition to efforts to further undermine the Gainful Employment regulation. The Department’s proposed changes to remove consumer information from the required disclosure template set out in the rule would deprive students and taxpayers of valuable consumer information about the costs and outcomes of college programs that is easily understood, is comparable across institutions, and has already undergone rigorous consumer testing.
